Whether it's the latest headlines of unexpected tragedies or memories of loved ones we've lost, we are prompted to pause and reflect on our own lives. We look at where we are today and wonder if we are doing enough…have we done enough…are we making the most of the time we have left . . are we making the most of today?

Lessons Learned
A memorable moment for me is a trip to a conference that, while disappointing in its intended purpose, yielded invaluable wisdom. The best advice received was simple yet profound: If a friendship is lost, another can be found. If money is lost, more can be earned. But time, once lost, can never be regained. This lesson emphasized that time is valuable and our choices in using it are important.
Reflections on the Passage of Time
As we get older, we begin to look back and ask ourselves—Where did the time go? We wonder whether we truly took the time to appreciate the little things. Did we pause to smell the roses? Did we allow ourselves the joy of pursuing what makes us happy? Did we take time to enjoy ourselves and do the things that make us happy? Did we say ‘yes’ to ourselves equal to or more than we said ‘yes’ to others? Have we become the best versions of ourselves? Did we achieve our goals and dreams, or did we let others dictate our paths or stifle our aspirations? Did we live in fear? The questions are endless as we self-reflect.
Chilling Words from an 83-Year-Old Woman: I’m reminded of a comment in response to a social media post that read, “I am 83 and never in my life did I have the courage to be myself! I am so sorry about that and that is so sad.” My heart crumbled after reading that post and thought how lonely and unfulfilling life may have been for this individual. I wanted to reach through the mobile device, find this woman, and give her a big hug. Unfortunately, similar comments were also made in response to hers. My prayer is that somehow, she and others find the courage to enjoy their present life. We cannot get time back, but we can make the most of the time that remains.
The Power of Everyday Moments
Let’s embrace each day with a sense of wonder, making the most of every moment. Live consciously with intention, seize opportunities, and don't shy away from taking risks, as these often lead to the most rewarding experiences. Focus on what truly matters—spending your time wisely, living with purpose, loving deeply, and laughing often. Pursue activities that bring joy and fulfillment, such as creative endeavors or cherished moments with loved ones.
Practice gratitude and mindfulness, and savor the small, everyday joys like spending time with friends or quiet family evenings. By doing so, you'll create a collection of memories that signify a life rich with wonderful experience. When reflecting on our past, the hope is to see a well-lived life.
