Why do we sometimes feel undeserving of love or question our own worthiness? Why don’t we prioritize our self-love and care? I am a businesswoman, but above all, I believe in God, and I understand my worth and value in Him.

You see, we are made in God’s image. This means we embody His divine characteristics and attributes (Genesis 1:27). We are not omnipresent, omniscient, nor omnipotent, but we are spiritual beings and Psalm 139:14 reminds us that we are “fearfully and wonderfully made.” We matter to God, and it is essential for each of us to acknowledge our inherent value and potential.

We can be confident in knowing the following:

·      God made us a little lower than the angels.

·      God  gave us the breath of life—his spirit—that ignites within us to keep us alive and on fire for his purpose.

·       God made us with the ability to love, show compassion, have mercy, and extend grace and forgiveness.

·      God imparted spiritual wisdom to help us distinguish between right and wrong and align ourselves with His  will.

·      God gave us the ability to think, rationalize, make decisions, and act.

·      God  blessed us with the knowledge and skills to create using our minds and hands, helping us to care for the earth, amplify the resources provided, and build His kingdom.

·      God created us to be trailblazers equipped to shatter glass ceilings and break strongholds and more.

In embracing this divine craftsmanship, we are called to live lives that reflect the beauty and complexity of our creation. Each of us holds a unique purpose, a role that only we can fulfill in life. By focusing on ourselves, we can recognize and nurture our individual gifts and talents, allowing us to contribute to the greater good and honor the image in which we were created.

So, let us step forward with courage and confidence, knowing that we are fearfully and wonderfully made, destined to make a difference in the world.
